GamowLabs used its GRETA platform to profile 1,000 FDA-approved compounds against the transcriptome of human lung fibroblasts, hunting for drugs repurposable to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Beyond recovering drugs already used or tested for IPF, they found evidence that common hydrophobic statins can reverse the IPF gene-expression signature. The team positions GRETA for rare-disease drug repurposing and is offering dataset access and collaboration.
