Qdrant 1.20: quarter-size vectors with steady recall, 4x faster nested filters
qdrant_engine · x · 2026-11-05
Qdrant 1.20 ships quantization-native datatypes turbo8 and turbo16 that store vectors in a quarter to half the space of float32 with recall holding steady, plus advanced metadata indexing for nested fields delivering up to 4x more queries per second. The release also adds BM25 hybrid search without sparse vectors, with measured cost and performance benchmarks in the official blog post.
