Liquid glass UI broken into 7 composite layers, with full parameters and prompt shared
floguo · x · 2026-11-04
A developer shares the liquid-glass material technique built while making Lumno, decomposed into composite layers: shadow for volume, blur + brightness/saturation boost for transparency, SVG displacement-map edge refraction with chromatic dispersion (red bends more than blue), adaptive tint overlay, dual edge highlights, blend-mode text coloring, and auto light/dark switching based on sampled background luminance (<0.5 flips to light). Recommended values included: light mode tint white 6–22%, blur 2px, saturation 180%; dark mode rgb(20 20 24) 16–38%; refraction edge width 44px, dispersion ±15%. A copy-ready prompt is attached for cards, players, and search boxes.
