Claude Opus 5 surgically edits ~1% of ProteinMPNN weights into SolubleMPNN-like behavior

- Researcher @DdelAlamo posed a challenge: convert ProteinMPNN into SolubleMPNN.
- It turned out you could just ask Claude Opus 5 to run mechinterp on the model; it surgically edited 1% of the weights to get SolubleMPNN-like behavior.
- Charts show the edited model (W3-edit) shifting amino acid composition, surface hydrophobicity, Kyte-Doolittle hydropathy, and alanine content toward SolubleMPNN.
- Notably, the 030 checkpoint already behaves like SolubleMPNN without any edits.
