qdrant_engine · x · 2026-11-04
Thrivedesk benchmarked Meilisearch vs Qdrant on 40k real production conversations: Qdrant delivered 126ms typical search (vs 251ms), 238ms P95 (vs 622ms), 9x less memory while searching (0.2GB vs 1.7GB), 5x less memory at indexing peak, and 3.5s vs 2.5min for a new email to become searchable. Results were also more precise: matching every typed word, excluding deleted conversations, and ignoring email CSS. The team plans to replace search first, then their vector database.
