Claude Code PM Cat Wu leaves Anthropic, third top product voice out in weeks
alliekmiller · x · 2026-11-04
Cat Wu (@catwu), a core product figure behind Claude Code, has left Anthropic. In her farewell thread she recalls joining two years ago when Claude Code was an internal tool—she had Claude build an RL environment, steering it for tens of hours without hand-writing a line of code. At launch, users manually approved every permission prompt; today auto-approval is the default and Claude handles large migrations and new products. She thanked the Claude Code, Cowork, and Tag teams. Allie Miller notes this marks the third of Anthropic's best product communicators to depart within weeks.
