Grok opens a SwiftUI coding answer with a land acknowledgment and they/them pronouns
nateparrott · x · 2026-11-04
A screenshot shared by nateparrott shows Grok's web app answering a simple question — "how do you add a map in SwiftUI" — by first issuing a land acknowledgment honoring First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities and declaring "My pronouns are they/them" before finally getting to the MapKit walkthrough. The juxtaposition of woke boilerplate with a routine coding question made the screenshot an instant AI-circle meme.
