Apple Intelligence Launches in China With Alibaba's Qwen Built Into Siri
APPSO · wechat · 2026-11-04
Apple has pushed the first iOS 27.3 developer beta, opening China's Apple Intelligence and Siri for testing. First-wave features include writing tools, live translation, photo cleanup, Genmoji and notification summaries. Qwen is integrated into Siri, Visual Intelligence and writing tools; for complex queries Siri asks permission before calling Qwen and can hand off to the Qwen app for fuller answers. Visual Intelligence's image search also taps Baidu. Supported on iPhone 15 Pro and later, with Simplified Chinese or English required; the new Siri AI previewed at WWDC 2026 is not included.
