fal, the infrastructure company powering AI image, video, audio and 3D models, has raised $1.65 billion across its Series E (led by Sequoia) and Series F (led by Bessemer). Co-founders Burkay Gür and Görkem Yurtseven argue generative media is one of only three major product-market fits in AI, alongside search and coding agents.
Founded in 2021 by ex-Coinbase and Amazon engineers, fal serves developers, studios and model labs. The quote tweet also notes a fun coincidence: "fal" means fortune-telling in Turkish, and the team once did Turkish coffee fortune reading for investor Molly.
