DeepSeek partial outage fuels speculation compute is shifting to unreleased V4.1 Pro

DeepSeek's status page logged a 1h44m partial outage starting 16:58 Beijing time, hitting chat, the V4 Pro API and V4.1 Flash API. Chat and Flash recovered first while V4 Pro kept answering "Service is too busy"; the company said nothing.
Chinese AI accounts read it the same way: compute is being moved for V4.1 Pro, with one user claiming deepseek-v4.1-pro already answers via a Tencent service. The poster notes V4.1 Flash went from 0910 to 1017 in 5 weeks on the same base; 1017 runs 512K context in 0.8GB VRAM on 4x 3090 at 39.7 tok/s with a 500K prompt and made Cursor's cost frontier this month.
