Claude Code Early Builder @_catwu Announces Departure From Anthropic
mathemagic1an · x · 2026-11-04
@catwu announced Friday was her last day at Anthropic. She recalls that two years ago, when Claude Code was a small internal tool, she asked it to build an RL environment — steering it for tens of hours without manually writing a line of code — which hooked her and led her to join the team. She notes that at launch most users approved every permission prompt by hand and mainly used Claude for Q&A and writing tests; today usage looks very different. The post doubles as a talent-move signal and a snapshot of Claude Code's evolution from internal tool to mainstream coding product.
