A long thread by klingefjord argues most visions of AI going well derive from Dario Amodei's "Machines of Loving Grace" — everyone wealthy and entrepreneurial, or neoliberalism-in-space. When people think about it, they turn pessimistic — like Bostrom's solved utopia or Clara Collier's essay on status games — which is partly why the author started meaning-aligned.
