OpenClaw cut its ~$1M/month CI bill by over 95% with adaptive agentic testing

vincentkoc claims OpenClaw is doing agentic engineering at a level developers haven't grasped, cutting its CI bill by over 95% from nearly $1M per month.
Beyond the obvious optimizations, the key technique is adaptive testing: based on past test behavior, a tree-based classifier and/or a System 1 model decides which tests are worth running and which can be skipped — eliminating the compute and time spent on redundant tests.
