Multi-agent messaging barely helps: 61% of agreed runs still hit merge conflicts
EliasEskin · x · 2026-11-04
Follow-up analysis of ParallACT: telling parallel agents a peer exists helps little (16% → 26% for Opus); the best messaging modality reaches 32% but at 2.23x the oracle's token cost. Agents know what to say but not when to listen: 59% of contradictory conversations reach agreement, yet 61% of agreed runs still end in merge conflicts.
