Factory launches Deployment team, cites Nvidia and Blackstone as users

AI coding platform company Factory announced Factory Deployment, an elite team tasked with modernizing critical systems and enabling secure, autonomous software factories at the world's most complex enterprises — and it's hiring at scale.
- Customers: The most advanced self-improving software work happens not in AI labs but at Blackstone, Nvidia, T-Mobile, and RBC, where software can't afford to fail
- Deployed Staff role: Tackle the hardest settings — sprawling monorepos, legacy code, strict compliance boundaries — answering how agents reason over codebases too large for any engineer, earn autonomy without risking production, and prove they're improving
- Product feedback loop: These field answers spawned per-PR code/security review, internal knowledge agents, and self-hosted cloud agents on the Droid SDK
- Factory stresses it is a product company, not a services company
The thread also reveals Factory raised $200M at a $5B valuation in 2026 (over $400M total), backed by Khosla Ventures, Sequoia, Blackstone, Ali Ghodsi, and Frank Slootman, plus several new hires (ex-Harness Field CTO, ex-Palantir/Factored product lead).
