CrowdStrike launches AI agent kill switch, buys Fiddler and Dreadnode for ~$495M
krishnan · x · 2026-11-03
CrowdStrike's Falcon Guardian AI Kill Switch can terminate unauthorized agents, block relaunch, and cut network access — live at the AI Gateway first, endpoint "coming soon." The same day it agreed to buy Fiddler (agent observability) and Dreadnode (automated pre-deployment attack testing) for about $495M combined per WSJ, both aimed at evaluating agents before they act. Catch: the switch only stops what it can see — homegrown agents bypassing the gateway remain unprotected until the endpoint piece ships. Ask vendors what share of running agents route through the gateway under their own identity.
