Per the FT, Anthropic and London buyout firm Hg agreed to launch a European AI consultancy by end of 2026, with hubs in London and Berlin. Its engineers will embed inside companies to build AI into how they work — the job Accenture and the Big Four do today. Accenture shares fell 4%+ on the news.
- Anthropic's second consulting firm in six months: in May it co-founded Ode (with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, Goldman Sachs, $1.5B planned investment) for mid-sized companies; OpenAI launched its own Deployment Company with TPG, 19 partners and $4B+
- The playbook: labs supply engineers, private equity supplies capital and clients; PE is arguably the best sales channel in AI, and the model itself is the smallest part of the work
- The full breakdown also covers how an engagement runs from CEO call to production, and how a ten-person team can run the same play
