Tencent Holdings and Visa have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand cooperation in cross-border payments and enterprise AI, Caixin reports. The deal follows Visa's preparatory approval in early October to establish a wholly foreign-owned bank card clearing business in mainland China. Analysts see it strengthening Tencent's position against rivals like Alipay and UnionPay International.
