Starlink in-flight Wi-Fi on a Tokyo–Honolulu flight: free with ads, streams 1080p smoothly
AlchainHust · x · 2026-11-03
Blogger @AlchainHust tested Starlink-powered in-flight Wi-Fi on an Alaska Airlines Tokyo–Honolulu flight: watching an ad grants free Wi-Fi for the entire flight, and 1080p videos played without a hitch — faster than typical hotel or airport Wi-Fi.
Screenshots show the service is sponsored by T-Mobile and powered by Starlink, advertising support for Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+ and other streaming services on flight AS832 (HND→HNL).
