Nvidia reportedly orders data center clients to cut China exposure; cloud users must be disclosed
pstAsiatech · x · 2026-11-03
Nvidia is reportedly ordering data center clients to reduce their China exposure, with conditions applying only to future contracts and not existing leasing agreements. A separate non-mandatory guidance — partly aimed at pushing cloud providers, including Nvidia-backed neoclouds, toward a more diverse customer mix — asks cloud customers to submit the identities of end users of the chips. It has not yet been enforced as a hard rule for serving Chinese customers.
