Google AI Mode keeps leaking image carousel metadata as plain text
One-Nobody639 · reddit · 2026-11-03
Users report a recurring Google AI Mode glitch: image carousel metadata sometimes renders as plain text, prefixed with "This response included an image carousel with the following images:" and listing each image's title, URL, and description — as shown in a screenshot about bubinga trees where all 5 images' metadata leaked.
The glitch is most common in responses without web search. Google has patched it multiple times, including one overhaul that also revamped inline ASCII art rendering, but it resurfaced about two months later and persists.
