Google's UCP integration hub goes live in Merchant Center with an unannounced Analytics tab
gaganghotra_ · x · 2026-11-03
An SEO consultant spotted Google's new UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol) integration hub live in a client's Merchant Center, including an Analytics tab absent from Google's announcement. UCP is Google's open standard for agentic commerce, enabling checkout inside AI Mode and Gemini. The Analytics panel tracks two flows: 'Transfers to merchant cart' (cart built on Google, checkout completed on the merchant site, with cart transfers, average cart value, product count and value) and 'Native checkout on Google' (purchase completed entirely on Google but credited to the organic shopping channel, with buy-button clicks, purchase count, and average order value). Onboarding follows Google's documented path: implement UCP, test in sandbox, validate, go live.
