Hourly check of 49 public MCP servers catches one server's tools vanishing 3 times in 2 days

A developer building an open-source MCP tester probed 49 public MCP servers hourly for 3 days, expecting all green. Instead, on one server two tools disappeared from the tool list and returned — three times in two days — while the server answered every check. Any agent needing those tools would simply not find them, with nothing looking broken. Suspected causes: different code behind a load balancer, or a rolling deploy. Seven other servers changed their tool sets unnoticed. He asks production operators: do you verify your tool list after deploys, or only uptime?
