Volcano Engine and China UnionPay built a human-agent collaboration showcase: AgentSphere brings business experts and digital employees (market, product, delivery) into one shared project workspace — essentially a project group chat for humans and agents.
An AI project manager identifies core needs, prepares context and dispatches tasks to role-specific digital employees; it pauses and asks human experts when information is insufficient. Key calls — capability boundaries, launch timing, customer commitments — must be confirmed by humans. Conclusions are saved as reusable project assets, all actions are auditable, and data stays inside strict security guardrails.
UnionPay creates digital employees on HiAgent while AgentSphere handles multi-agent orchestration, completing a full market-product-delivery human-agent loop in a financial institution, with more scenarios planned.
