Apex Intelligence, founded by Tsinghua AI assistant professor Yongchao Chen, released its first open-weights general-purpose model, Apex-35B-V1.0-i1-GGUF, built via its automated AI research system Apex Research.
- Refined from Qwen3.6-35B-A3B (base) with custom mid-training, post-training and research trajectories
- Beats the base model on 20/21 benchmarks and outperforms 300B/800B models on selected evals (BioMysteryBench, SWE-bench, HLE, BrowseComp, etc. per benchmark charts)
