A 5-point checklist for deciding when a business process is ready for an LLM
No-Task-4473 · reddit · 2026-11-03
An AI consultant shares the quick checklist he runs before recommending an LLM to a client:
- Someone does the same task on a computer every day
- The input is text or documents
- Mistakes are cheap to catch and fix
- There are at least 50 real examples
- A human can verify the output in seconds
Rule of thumb: if fewer than three hold, he recommends a plain integration instead. He asks the community what to add or remove, and for processes that passed the test yet still failed.
