AI cold-email flood: devs block addresses as Gmail spam becomes unusable
cnakazawa · x · 2026-11-03
Developer wesbos complains about an AI-spam flood in Gmail: 30-40 "cold emails" with insufferable follow-up chains daily, and unsubscribing only confirms the address is valid, so block + spam is the only defense. He argues Google must fix AI spam in Gmail. cnakazawa replies that he now simply blocks the sender addresses outright, while Google keeps sending weekly spam summary reports.
