Apple Intelligence in China to run on Alibaba's Qwen, testing starts Nov 4

Apple's China Newsroom announced on Oct 31 that Apple Intelligence will begin testing Nov 4 via the iOS developer Beta and ship to Chinese users in December with iOS 27.3. The China rollout integrates Alibaba's Qwen model. First unveiled at WWDC in June 2024, the feature means Chinese iPhone users have waited about two and a half years.
