OpenAI has hired Dan Driscoll, the former Army Secretary, as Senior Counselor for National Security Modernization — a newly created role. He will advise governments and companies, especially among U.S. allies, on using AI for national and cyber security.
Notably, Driscoll left the Army's top civilian job just two months earlier amid friction with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
