Capturing tribal knowledge with AI glasses: an AMR brake repair becomes a digital SOP for training
MatthewChang · x · 2026-11-03
Matthew Chang demoed an AI knowledge-capture workflow at his Jacksonville robot lab: a 24-year-old technician replaced the braking system on a Teradyne/Mobile Industrial Robots AMR, and the whole procedure was captured into a digital SOP with video, transcript, and an auto-generated PDF for training new hires.
The retweeter extends the vision: using AI glasses and system integrators to systematically document install/commission/repair procedures into structured SOPs and knowledge bases accessible to AI tools — solving the 'graybeard tribal knowledge' problem and accelerating workforce training.
