Mustafa Suleyman: call-center jobs will be replaced by AI, not augmented
davidpattersonx · x · 2026-11-03
Microsoft AI chief Mustafa Suleyman says AI is both rapidly creating jobs and already displacing workers, citing call centers: AI agents are patient, good at decision-making, fluent in every language and dialect. He argues these jobs face outright replacement rather than augmentation — "AI plus the human will do better" doesn't hold for this kind of work. Poster David Patterson adds that superintelligence will start replacing full jobs that won't come back.
