mlx-learn launches: scikit-learn API on Apple silicon with up to 30X training and 300X inference speedups
HankYeomans · x · 2026-11-03
tunguz's team released mlx-learn, a library bringing GPU-accelerated classical machine learning to Apple silicon via MLX and native Metal kernels. It currently supports logistic regression, nearest neighbors, and exact SVM classification with a scikit-learn-compatible API and matching results. Reported speedups reach up to 30X for training and 300X for inference. Install with pip install mlx-learn.
