MIT-licensed frontend skill gives coding agents a 7-step design and verification workflow
Extra-Highlight9183 · reddit · 2026-11-03
The author open-sourced RC's Frontend Skill (MIT), an instruction package for coding agents targeting the gap between generating syntactically valid UI and maintaining coherent design systems, app behavior, accessibility, and responsive states.
The workflow instructs the agent to:
- Inspect the existing project, routes, dependencies, and backend assumptions
- Choose a defensible visual direction rather than mixing trends
- Preserve real APIs, auth, forms, validation, and app states
- Implement responsive, semantic UI within the existing stack
- Treat motion/WebGL as progressive enhancements with reduced-motion fallbacks
- Test builds, keyboard behavior, accessibility, layouts, overflow, and critical interactions
- Separate verified evidence from assumptions in the final report
Repo includes SKILL.md, reference guides, validation tests, and two read-only audit helpers. Install: npx skills add RitvikChunamari/rcs-frontend-skill.
