Anthropic publishes AI-native SDLC playbook rebuilding dev lifecycle stage by stage
seanwbren · x · 2026-11-03
Anthropic released a 40-minute-read "AI-native SDLC playbook" arguing that code is no longer the bottleneck: teams write code with agentic tools like Claude Code far faster than a year ago, yet approval gates, reviews, and handoffs haven't changed, capping productivity gains.
The playbook walks through all six SDLC stages—planning, design, building, testing, deploying, maintaining—with plays and worked examples. It argues PRDs, estimation rituals, and security reviews were designed for an era when coding took weeks or quarters, a premise that no longer holds. A PDF version is available for offline team sharing.
