Edison Scientific, in collaboration with Princeton, introduced ChefNMR2, an AI system for rapid automated de novo structure elucidation from simple 1D NMR spectra, aiming to accelerate small molecule drug discovery (which accounts for over half of FDA-approved medicines).
- Across five benchmarks totaling 2,031 molecules, ChefNMR2 ranked the correct structure first in 82.4% of cases
- Standalone Claude Opus 5 achieved 51.9% on the same task
- ChefNMR2 is now available in Kosmos for partners
