Basin8 pilot: searchable project history cuts agent task time by 19.8% median
VoidStateKate · x · 2026-11-03
Early results from Basin8's continuity research: giving an agent searchable, dated project history reduced median per-task time by 19.8%, with a best case of 41.6% (53.31 seconds).
Setup: fresh sessions vs. history-searchable sessions, same model and effort tier (Sol 6.1 / max), matched prompts, files, tools and permissions; 5 productive task pairs plus 3 controls, 16 scored episodes. Caveats: synthetic histories (12–14 records), simulated services, evaluator authored the fixtures, not blinded—a feasibility pilot, not a benchmark. Reductions ranged 4.2%–41.6% across pairs, and history slowed all three controls.
