Qwen 3.8 27B spontaneously uses Blender MCP to code its way through a physics problem
Balloon_Fan · reddit · 2026-11-03
A Reddit user gave locally-run Qwen 3.8 27B a math-heavy physics problem. Mid-reasoning, the model inspected its available tools, discovered it could execute arbitrary Python via Blender MCP, and used Blender's Python support to write itself code to do the math faster.
The author says they'd never seen this kind of spontaneous behavior from a local model before, noting you sometimes have to tell this model what NOT to do — it found an unprompted path to the solution on its own.
