Dev builds visual layout editor for MOSS-Image that outputs JSON prompts
jambavant · reddit · 2026-11-03
Reddit user jambavant built a visual layout editor for MOSS-Image's pixel-perfect layout capability. The official workflow is to feed MOSS-Image's docs to an LLM and have it generate layout JSON prompts; this editor lets you design layouts by hand instead, with an optional SwarmUI extension.
- Repo: https://github.com/jambavant/SwarmUI-LayoutEditor
- Try online: https://jambavant.github.io/SwarmUI-LayoutEditor/standalone/index.html
- The standalone HTML editor works both ways: draw from scratch and copy the JSON prompt, or paste an LLM-generated JSON and refine it manually. Includes keyboard shortcuts and auto box resizing based on image resolution.
- Works for comics, reference sheets, compositions, magazine covers and posters, handling multiple characters and text well; it starts to break beyond 10 characters with concept bleed.
