Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire voice AI company Cresta, with the deal expected to close in Q1 of fiscal 2028 (February–April 2027), pending regulatory approval.
- What Cresta does: its voice agents take complex customer calls from greeting to resolution while coaching human reps in real time and analyzing every interaction. Customers include Marriott, Comcast, and Alaska Airlines.
- Integration plan: via Headless 360, Cresta will be paired with Service Cloud and sold as an add-on, so customers keep their existing contact center and telephony platforms.
- M&A pace: this is Salesforce's tenth acquisition agreement of 2026, which already includes the $3.6B Fin deal and Braze at $5.66B enterprise value, covering service agents and customer messaging.
