Microsoft is retiring the Communities feature in Teams, prompting ML researcher Andrey Burkov to argue that big tech's history of online community products is one of guaranteed failures.
He lists Facebook Groups as spam graveyards, Google's groups dying with Google+, Twitter's Communities dead, LinkedIn Groups walking dead for two decades — and now Teams Communities joining the list. His take: invent something new before trying and failing again.
