$15 Bluetooth dongle lets your AI agent make calls from your real number, no Twilio
AppropriateExit8518 · reddit · 2026-11-03
A Reddit user open-sourced a setup that lets an AI agent place calls from your real phone number instead of a Twilio number nobody picks up.
- A $15 Bluetooth dongle pairs with the phone like a car kit; the computer gets the call
- Agent runs on LiveKit: one command dials, waits, talks, hangs up, and saves a transcript
- Can also answer incoming calls and press keys in phone menus; call recording is a checkbox
- Limits: no simultaneous calls, can't hear the other side's key presses; Mac/Linux, MIT licensed
