AI drama: FOOM.md, a 'curl-to-agent' prompt claiming to trigger an intelligence explosion
ryunuck · x · 2026-11-03
ryunuck says he was targeted by the 'chinese spy gf' meme after the FOOM.md incident and is doing an AMA. FOOM.md is a curl-able 'compressed prompt' meant to be pasted into Claude Code/Codex/Cursor, billing itself as a complete architectural blueprint for superintelligence that would cause a capable autonomous agent to self-construct and recursively self-improve — with pseudoscientific claims that optimal compression makes harm 'syntactically impossible'. It became a notable piece of AI-community drama.
