Dream-1 robot model tested on 100 real-world RoboDojo episodes: zero-shot skills real but bounded
paigeinsf · x · 2026-11-03
The author's team built real-world versions of 10 RoboDojo benchmark tasks (fresh layouts each episode, 180s limit) to test Dream-1 from the Dream Labs team across 100 episodes.
Key findings:
- Dream-1's zero-shot skills are real but clearly bounded by its training data
- Better generalization needs more diverse training data plus evals designed to expose where the model breaks
- Next step: fine-tuning Dream-1 and π0.5 to measure how much task-specific data closes the gap
Full analysis and all 100 episodes are public.
