AI researchers: one success in an environment loop is enough signal to run RL on it
cephaloform · x · 2026-11-03
A short exchange among AI researchers. @stochasticchasm notes Google's astra can pull off a "hail mary" environment task — the kind of env you could just throw into RL to see how it does. @cephaloform replies that while it's lowkey a nothingburger now, the fact that you have a success in this loop at all means you can RL on it — the presence of even one success sample is itself the signal of trainability.
