AsyaBergal argues that many people inside frontier AI labs genuinely understand the dangers of the systems they build, yet communication about those risks remains underinvested — a "large-scale ethical mistake." She holds that researchers who grasp the risks have a non-optional obligation to inform the public whose families they're exposing to them, and that public anger over withheld risks would be justified.
