Claude's new anti-cloning rules won't stop the AI game-copying boom
Ars Technica AI · rss · 2026-11-03
Anthropic added a rule ("tenguheronbrook") to the Claude Code system prompt around October 27, verified in v2.1.314, prohibiting re-creations of specific existing games while allowing original and genre games. XDA also found independent anti-cloning instructions bundled with Claude Opus. Ars Technica argues the move shields Anthropic from liability but won't slow the wave of AI-assisted game porting and cloning.
