AssemblyAI introduced AssemblyAI-TTS-1, its first text-to-speech model, aimed at voice agents on live calls. The company claims it sounds natural, responds fast, and keeps callers on the line. It's available now via the new Text-to-Speech API within AssemblyAI's speech platform, alongside a video interview with lead researcher Pasquale D'Alterio on what makes TTS sound natural.
