Grok Bot launches phone calls: user-approved dialing, live transcripts and recordings
belce_dogru · x · 2026-11-03
Grok Bot 0.77's phone calling feature is now live: your bot can call US businesses, sit on hold, press keys, and get transferred while you watch a live transcript, with a recording generated after the call.
Safety design: every call requires user approval before dialing, and the bot identifies itself as "a virtual assistant on a recorded line." First use requires accepting terms restricting calls to US businesses or consenting individuals — no marketing mass calls, scams, harassment, or impersonation.
Other features spotted in 0.77: a Messages-on-Mac setup screen under Connect Apps (still off), Tailscale integration pending admin approval, a payments screen for connecting accounts and picking a default on top of the new Vault, and bot-sharing invites requiring Premium or Ultra.
