Agent Arena added real-world usage analytics showing, alongside task spend, which agents deliver the best performance per output token and per minute of wait time.
Early findings:
- The same intelligence can cost 10x more, need 6x more output tokens, and take twice as long.
- Costs grow most steeply with intelligence; waiting longer pays off unevenly; and output tokens barely improve performance.
