Tutor Intelligence raises $75M Series B led by a16z to deploy teleop-trained robots

a16z led a $75M Series B in Tutor Intelligence, with participation from USV and Neo. The MIT-undergrad founders Josh Gruenstein and Alon Kosowsky build generally capable robot hardware that deploys into real production environments before full autonomy: human teleoperators ("tutors") direct the robots while training the robot foundation models on the work performed.
Traction: robots already work across some of the largest US manufacturing and logistics networks, sites are up 4x year-over-year, nearly a third of this year's deployments are repeat customers, and the company targets 1,000+ robots under contract by end of 2027. Funds go to frontier model training, robot manufacturing, and industrial deployment.
